We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Chief of Staff to support our leadership team and drive organizational efficiency at our Pleasanton, CA office. This full-time role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in accounting and finance, preferably with experience in a CPA firm.
As the Chief of Staff, you will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leaders, ensuring organizational goals are met effectively and efficiently. You will manage cross-functional teams, optimize workflows, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes, becoming a key driver of the company’s success.
Key Objectives
– Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
– Enhance operational efficiency and foster a culture of collaboration and transparency.
– Manage and execute strategic initiatives to achieve company goals.
Primary Responsibilities
- Executive Support: Provide high-level support to the CEO and executive team, managing schedules, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring alignment with company objectives. Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external communications.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement business strategies. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress on critical initiatives.
- Project Management: Lead and oversee company-wide projects, ensuring timely execution and optimal resource allocation. Identify and resolve potential bottlenecks to maintain project momentum.
- Operational Efficiency: Analyze and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and streamline operations. Optimize workflows across departments to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Financial Oversight: Work closely with the finance team to analyze budgets, financial reports, and operational costs. Provide actionable recommendations to optimize financial performance and resource allocation.
- Communication and Collaboration: Act as a liaison between executives and employees, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration. Facilitate effective communication to ensure clarity and alignment across teams.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute key meetings, corporate retreats, and events, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and objectives.
Qualifications
Education
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
Experience
– 2-4 years of relevant experience in an executive support or leadership role.
– Proven background in accounting or finance, with preference for candidates who have worked in Tax/CPA firms.
Skills
– Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
– Strong financial acumen with experience analyzing budgets and financial data.
– Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
– Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with accounting or ERP software.
– Leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and handle multiple priorities effectively.
